A day in the life of Avery Mckenna....

When I use to dream of having a little girl this Avery angel is what I would dream of. And then when I got preggo again I tried so hard to not get attached and to love this bundle that was growing in me, I tried not to even think about the pregnancy at all. People would ask and I would pretend to be happy but inside I was miserable. Until one day... I realized I was five months and past that dreaded 4 month stage when I would always have a miscarriage. I was able to relax somewhat and begin dreaming of her place in this world. She made a dramatic entry into the world as the placenta didn't want to separate and I just remember lots of blood on my Doc, tears in my husband's eyes and thinking okay baby is good that is what matters most. It was a crazy mad house in the delivery room for my first baby and I remember my Mother-in-law saying, "Did you hear what was playing when you were delivering her?" It was Good Morning Beautiful-Steve Holy.:-)

She is beautiful inside and out! She shares my weakness for animals, babies, photography, and just life itself. She is headstrong and fiesty like her mama beyond belief. She is true to herself, she loves music, she loves swimming and is sooooo good at it. She is my little bookworm (didn't get that from me sadly) She loves to dance when no one is around and I mean break it down :-).She has been such a blessing to this family and such a good big sis to her brother. She is my shopping, good willing, garage saleing & flea-marketing sidekick and my baby girl and I thank God everyday for the opportunity to be a good mother to her and lead her in the right direction.

  2. She is most definitely a blessing, not only to your immediate family, but to me. She's our girl. And thank you and all your family for sharing her.
